Everton Transfer Thread 2016

We haven't increased our wages. We've signed Bolasie, Gueye, Stek and Williams.
We have lost Howard, Pienaar, Stones, Hibbert and Osman.

I'm I missing something? It's another reason why it's so frustrating that we aren't signing someone like Hart even if it's for one season.
Very tedious mate.

We needed to INCREASE space in our wage structure to create greater capacity to accommodate higher-quality players such as Mata, Witsel etc. We have not yet signed such "marquee" signings (sorry for the use of such a cliche), but prior to selling Stones we did not even have the option to do so. Shipping out the five players you mentioned, and bringing in the four you also mentioned, doesn't create a lot of space on the wage bill, does it?

If that's the case then we wouldn't have sold him until we secured those players. We sold Stones because a) Koeman probably didn't rate him and b) We needed the money to fund the rest of the transfers we have made.

All the other talk of the window was just that. There's no evidence to suggest that any of it was true.

It shouldnt take long to see if the Sissoko deal is true. This tweet is saying that his new club will be revealed tonight. Maybe our reported £30mill proposal has been accepted?

Mate you probably think I'm picking on you but it's just that you keep on coming out with such clangers...

1st statement above - garbage. FFP rules aren't applied on a real time basis mate. You account for them over a period, so as long as the club knew they were going to sell Stones and what level they would get / accept - and let's face it they will have known that given also the player was desperate to leave - then they could buy with some confidence.

2nd statement - really? I mean really??! Stones will have told Koeman at their first meeting that he was off. Koeman needed one of our 3 big value players to go to fulfil the FFP equation to build for this season. Simple as.

Talk about fabricating an argument to support an entrenched view that there's no money to spend...
