It's not deluded. When it comes to attracting players all that matter is the here and now along with money and ambition. Look at Leicester and them signing Musa and Slimani for their bench. A team that was in the championship 3 seasons ago.

Reminds me more of a Mahrez type player to be honest plus he's an excellent deadball specialist where he gets a lot of his assists from. I'm fed up not being able to clear the first defender!!.

Agree he's a risk in that he hasn't been tested at the highest level, but at the price he isn't that much of a gamble. Plus I really don't think we're in a position to get anyone better. So the worst he can do is give us a bit more threat from set pieces and put some pressure on Ross to perform. Not ideal but I'll take that at the moment.

Supposedly Porto would be willing to sell for £35m even though he has a £51m release clause.

They signed for a club that just won the Premier League and have Champions League football - something we can't offer despite having the cash.
