If by next Saturday morning we haven't spent anything other than the stones money then fair enough people will fume because obviously no extra money was put forward for transfers (managers and DOF should be separate money from the team) but as there is still a week of the window to go we will have to wait and see exactly how much we have to spend

It is being reported in Algerian press that it has been agreed and the fee is 40M Euros after Brahimi bought into the long term plan of Moshiri. This is NOT a rumour, but then it is not over the line yet either. Look at Perez...

How can you possibly say that and expect to be taken seriously? Are you suggesting that Stones should not have been sold - thereby leaving us unable to sign any "big-name" players at this point (assuming we went ahead with Bolasie, Williams, Gana and Stekelenburg as we have) ??

In all honesty pal, you're starting to sound a lot like Zat.

His goal and assist stats are great but just to repeat a word of caution with him. He's coming from a team who aren't very good and therefore he would have a lot of space to play. It requires a different type of player to post those stats in a team at the top of the league.

He reminds me a bit of Barkley which is no bad thing but not the play maker we need.

Reminds me more of a Mahrez type player to be honest plus he's an excellent deadball specialist where he gets a lot of his assists from. I'm fed up not being able to clear the first defender!!.

Agree he's a risk in that he hasn't been tested at the highest level, but at the price he isn't that much of a gamble. Plus I really don't think we're in a position to get anyone better. So the worst he can do is give us a bit more threat from set pieces and put some pressure on Ross to perform. Not ideal but I'll take that at the moment.

No but I can see Jose using Mata to send a message to Mkhitaryan that he's not a guaranteed starter.
