Everton Transfer Thread 2016

Our hardest game was Spurs at home. It's a long season and we need more quality.

All games are hard in this league.
Deulofeu puts his 1 on 1 away against Spurs and we get 3 points.

Walters on his toes yesterday and Stoke equalise.

Such fine margins in every match.

Man U where seconds away from drawing with Hull.

We have had a fabulous start to the season, hopefully we can keep it going over the whole campaign.

What isn't explained is how come we haven't even gone after a player "like" those two since. Most managers identify weaknesses in the squad and then try to get the best player to fit the profile.

Witsel is nothing like Gueye. Who are we in for that is like Witsel?
Carvalho is nothing like Gueye. Who are we in for that is like Carvalho?
Mata is nothing like Bolasie. Who are we in for that is like Mata?

It seems like we were in for a completely different type of player for those positions before Walsh came in. In fact it almost looks like the kind of players Martinez would have gone for.

Maybe that's not how it works but it seems strange.
Whatever happens I'm sure you all will find something to drag out for the rest of the season. We didn't get our initial targets through no fault of the club trying. It's were we are at and expectations higher than that need to be binned
It is what it is as we don't have Europe or finished in top 10 last 2 years.
End of

No, it doesn't, to be honest.

Because our moderator told us "he is ours", which indicates a deal has been agreed on, not that he'd agreed on the basis that Juve don't come in for him.

Anyway, it doesn't really matter, the sources were way off the mark and he'll probably think twice before relaying any of their info on here in the future, and rightly so.

I don't mind, like I said it just interests me a lot. I trust he has inside knowledge of sorts and appreciate him sharing said knowledge when it comes to info on stadium, finances, boardroom, etc.
See my other post. You all need to move on and start enjoying the start.
Fresh air and few beers might help coz all you seem to do is talk the same stuff daily.
Groundhog day. It is what it is.

I'd play Brahimi in the centre as an attacking midfielder, he really could create a lot of chances in there, he's not just a winger, just let him run the midfield, like he did against us a couple of years ago, he stood out that day as being the class on the pitch.
When I heard we were interested, that's where I thought we would play him.

Calm down mate. I am buzzing at our start, slightly better than I had expected (expected win and two draws), but realise it's a long hard season and one injury to Gueye or Lukaku and we'd be royally screwed. That's pretty much fact. So let's hope we get some more good players in and not take that risk.

Esk.

In your own opinion, what do you feel the best case scenario is?

I'm guessing five in (GK, CB, CM, #10 and a ST)and three/four out (Niasse, McGeady, Cleverley, McCarthy)
I'd take that in a heartbeat. We'd have to crunch the numbers re Niasse and McCarthy to minimise any loss (profit affects our wage capacity), but if we can shift them then happy days.
