Nice to see EFC doing so well in the league. Merseyside derby will be very competitive this time around. LFC fan myself.

When I heard we were interested, that's where I thought we would play him.
I strongly doubt Fibreglass would even consider us. And as talented a player as he is, he's an utter bell - no thank you.Would have...

That was my first post in this forum. Have been following since last few months. I think EFC will finish above LFC this season. RK has done a brilliant job so far. He has fixed EFC's leaky defensive issue asap. Unfortunately Klopp is too naive and focuses only on offense.Who?
I'd take that in a heartbeat. We'd have to crunch the numbers re Niasse and McCarthy to minimise any loss (profit affects our wage capacity), but if we can shift them then happy days.
No one wants the club to blow 100m. I myself have said I would prefer Moshiri keeps his money than buy the wrong player however to not spend any of a supposed 100m is a big suspect.Imagine balancing the books instead of just blowing 100m so a few nerds could feel satisfied at how much money their football club have spent? they would be in complete turmoil and the doom mongers would be out in full force.
In nearly fell for it myself at one point but common sense prevailed in the end.
His goal and assist stats are great but just to repeat a word of caution with him. He's coming from a team who aren't very good and therefore he would have a lot of space to play. It requires a different type of player to post those stats in a team at the top of the league. From what I've seen (which admittedly isn't that much) he's not a player in the Pienaar mould. Don't get me wrong, he's as exciting as hell and his dribbling skills will get people off their seats. But we've already got like players in Bolasie and Del.
I agree with you that we need somebody in the squad with something a little bit different, the guile and vision to unlock packed defences. Somebody who is also excellent with set piece delivery and can challenge/supplement Ross in that playmaker role.
I would like that somebody to be Hakim Ziyech from FC Twente. He's been very consistent over 3 years in Holland and his goals/assists stats are excellent. I agree he's untried at the top level and he will undoubtedly take time to get used to the pace and physicality of the PL, but his attitude seems spot on and the suggested price of around £10m very reasonable.
My only concern is why nobody else appears willing to take a punt on him. It's not as if he's been under the radar.
Yea a bit like Isco and Mata. Would be perfect but probably wouldn't consider us.Would have...

However maybe we are just leaving it late. Not long to go now.
Not a lot of goals or assists in that team.Play him on the right hand side of a front three?
Barkley Gana Sissoko
Brahimi Rom Bolasie
That's a tedious argument. There either was the money or there wasn't the money. If there wasn't the money then all the rumors at the start of the window were definitely nonsense. If there was the money then it's very surprising and frankly a bit incompetent none has been spent.Yes but when was this 100m ever an official line from the club? It's only been papers and fans expecting us to spend that kind of money
