Watching "Transfer deadline day" is essentially like watching people buying xmas presents on xmas eve, but we get to see all the things they were thinking of getting rather than just the final gift......

......Spread over 24hrs unlike normal shopping hours.

I would imagine there will be a trade off here. We would sell Mccarthy if we had a replacement, i.e i would guess Sissoko. If we can't negotiate Sissoko then we wouldn't sell MccArthy.

Although knowing us, we will agree to the sale and then find out last minute the sissoko deal has fell through and we are stuck understaffed then.

If Sissoko is going for £30m then I'd rather keep McCarthy

Selling McCarthy wouldn't leave us understaffed - he's invisible anyway.

Would leave us with gibson besic and cleverley as back up. Consdering Besic is already out for the season, you just assume gibson is injured, means tom is going to have to cover both roles then.

Perhaps there is something we don't know, if sissoko isn't a target. More likely we just won't sell Mccarthy this window.
