Personally I wouldn't even buy a striker in this window. I'd look to get a young talent on loan from one of the big European clubs. Do a job for us and be Robin to Batman (Rom) for the remainder of the season.

Other than him not being young, limited talent-wise and not from a big European club... bring back the Straq

The thought had crossed my mind mate, surely Funes Mori is Jags long term successor so why the need for another young centre back when we have Holgate and Browning that have both shown promise and would eventually move to the centre.

Plus Galloway, who I presume RM considers a left-sided CB long-term with Garbutt as Baines' successor at LB.

Not too sure if it's here or there but a quick google of yarmalenko earlier came accross an article/interview from back in june saying he didnt want to move to an average english/italian club.

I've been reading the many comments regarding adding another striker, the names mentioned may not be the best but we are going to struggle to get the best, as any striker knows the way we play they are only going to be back up to Lukaku so it would only be a striker that would be around Longs level, any 20 goal a season striker will want guaranteed starts. A bit like Byram he know he was just going to mainly be warming the bench, because if Colemans fit he plays regardless of form, we know that with the way Martinez deals with Howard.

Not necessarily mate. He's proven that he will drop outfield players if they're out of form, Howard is a different kettle of fish though. He's got Martinez wrapped around his little finger because he's an arrogant bell whiff that dominates the dressing room and will cause almighty uproar if he's dropped. Honestly the first thing I'd do would be rip up that steaming turd's contract if I were the manager. Anyway, transfers and signings and stuff. Yeah.

We need a new keeper.
