The funny thing is that some lads were saying we have been interested in Sissoko for awhile, if that was the case, then why did we leave it so late to make a bid.

Money.

We aren't willing to pay the money and we have been trying to get players on the cheap causing the deals to drag on which ultimately gives time for other clubs to get interested.

Sissoko was one we looked at earlier but didn't fancy the asking price. We have then looked at a few other targets and when none of them were any cheaper have gone back to him.
