Inaki williams just extended his contract at Bilbao so we can write him off...would have been good for £15.4mil boyout clause and sorted left wing.

If he leaves Bilbao it was probably always gonna be for a top club.

Tbh not many Athletic players leave young anyway, they often stay at the club until their mid-twenties at least.

Andros Townsend, looks like his move to Newcastle could be off, I thought he could fit in well for us. He is left footed and can play on either wing, when he played for England through the middle he looked good as well and he and Barkley had some nice exchanges To me he seems to fit with Martinez style, more than Potchitino's.

Some reports are saying Newcastle want to take him on loan, with a view to transfer in the summer, while spurs want the cash up front, £14m, it seems a bit steep for a player that doesn't play that much, but compared to the money we have got for Naismith and the generally inflated prices, it may not be that bad, possibly do a deal for some of that fee to be performance related.

Call me an old cynic but these days all these contract extensions mean is that the player will leave for a higher release clause in the summer. The new release clause is 50 million Euros, so if he carries on progressing he will probably go to a Champions League level club in the Summer.

Are we just buying wingers that can't get into Spurs' team now?

Long term that really isn't going to see us challenging for the top 4 is it...
