Call me an old cynic but these days all these contract extensions mean is that the player will leave for a higher release clause in the summer. The new release clause is 50 million Euros, so if he carries on progressing he will probably go to a Champions League level club in the Summer.

With most other clubs I would agree mate, but Bilbao are very good at keeping hold of their best players/promising prospects.

So a player chose another club which he felt more a kinship to, as his family are season ticket holders there, he gets to live in London and play for a young progressive manager like Bilic and won't have anybody as good as Coleman in front of him in the pecking order.

Don't take it so personally dude, think I would be a bit torn too.
