To much pricking around at the back - need to get back to basics - we need an Ashley williams type defender and a playmaker. We are becoming Wigan and yesterday was the worst performance for a long time for me. The only positives were DEL and peanuts who looked good and gave us some threat ... I'll be crucified for this but if we don't have money take the 50 million for stones and tell Roberto to sling his hook . New manager - new money and start again. We have to many good players to be where we are !

It's a pleasure and privilege to watch Stones play sometimes, he really is a luxury that we are very lucky to have but out of him and Rom, Stones is the easier player to replace. Not like for like obviously because he is a class of his own but it's far easier to find defenders who can defend at this level than it is to find strikers who can score (if that makes sense).

very true. i wouldnt consider selling him for any money to be honest, but its a good point.

Total sense mate and that is my thinking as well ..we are scoring a lot of goals but also letting to many in !!

We desperately need a new goalkeeper. All of our problems stem from the fact that our defenders have zero confidence in he keeper behind them. As a result we always look nervous and likely to concede. A top class keeper would make the world of difference

They're very hard to find mate, especially in the middle of the season and especially that would come to us.

What we need is Joel in, and Howard dropped.
