So just to recap, Lukaku and Stones are gone, Martinez is a dead man walking. We are awaiting a takeover which may avoid the formers going, but will lead to the immediate departure of the latter! Am I right? And no incoming transfers for January...this is a right laugh

We will sign players this window mate.

100%.

Genuinely? I had given up. Think we need a marquee singing for morale, but I'm resigned to no signings or a couple of "one for the future" signings that will have no effect on our currently pathetic form.

Whilst it could be argued, Martinez isnt stupid, doubt he would let Naismith go without replacing the hole he leaves in the squad.

Sadly I think this is true. On the upside we'll probably have about £100m to spend, on the downside this place will go into full on footy manager mode.

Can't wait to see all the high profile/talent players who are keen to play for the team that finished 11th two seasons in a row.*

*Optimistic view of 2016 finishing position.

£100m is difficult to spend, even if we can afford to buy a top drawer player, it's most likely that they won't want to come to us, might have to do a Spurs and buy a load of talented but unproven players and hope they turn out good. It'll be fun though!

It's weird to think we could have £100m for Rom and Stones but it still won't be enough to buy 2 players with the equivalent talent.

Is the correct answer, you simply dont replace outstanding players unless you get really lucky like Spurs, ironically their best 2 players cost them 5m.

But before that, they really struggled to replace Bale, just like the vermin have struggled to replace Sewerz.
