Everton Transfer Thread 2016

If we sign these two strikers we will have signed three in this window including that lad from Switzerland who we hadn't heard of either. Would this mean we sell Lukaku in the summer I'm thinking. Recoup the pending outlay and make a tidy profit for the board. Wouldn't be surprised.

Tarashaj is an attacking midfielder.

The ecudorian seems to be an attacking midfielder as well....their signings are covered from Naismith sale.

The senagalese chap doesnt seem like a first choice forward.

As for a "tidy profit for the board" when has that ever happened?

Like how you refer to them as the Ecudorian and the Senegalese chap. We basically have no idea who they are or where they play.

Football Manager at its finest.

Seems a lot to be paying for someone ive never heard of and less than a handful of international caps for senegal.

Rather have had Dembele from Fulham for half the price OR sign someone who could come in and be the "new" lukaku like Embolo.

This chap seems a bit average to me...much more interested in the Ecuadorian.

Unlike a lot of managers mate, Martinez either gets it very right with a transfer or very very wrong, he has much less of a middle ground with players

Think about Moyes and you have some great buys and some flop[s and quite a lot of players who overall proved decent buys, not setting the world alight but did a very good job for us.

With Martinez a bit like his style of football his transfers work the same way, all or nothing

So youve gone from claiming the board will pocket money to now saying Martinez signs players based on football manager.

Think Martinez has done well whenever spending money on players.

Id say it was 50/50 on Martinez transfer wise like. Wouldn't proclaim him to be the god you think he is.

I don't have anything against these guys however they seem strange signings if true. Especially the lad coming from Russia. Lot of money for a striker/winger from a lesser league.

Whenever he has spent money his signings have been a success, other than dreadul players like mcgeady and kone who i said at the time were useless hes done very well...

This senegalese guy doesnt stand out at all though and looking at the price its about the same as we had rejected for the sporting player.

For £18.5mil on these two i think we should be looking at other players, Embolo perhaps or similar or even a left winger lile Rafael silva we were linked with before....seems odd to sign these two who look like squad players when we need to sign firsf choice at left wing and someone to push lukaku...

nearly any time he spent decent money for Wigan mate he bought utter utter [Poor language removed]

What type of player is he

I've never heard of him like

Basically best way to describe him mate is he's the type of forward that are ten a penny in Russia, come in from abroad on a cheap deal, have a decent season and are sold on for a tidy profit and the clubs replace them with the next import without missing a beat, he is absolutely nothing special - if he was 20-21 then yeah i could see why they interest in him, but at 25 he is not going to suddenly turn all those parts of his game that are okay into being top class.

Mate messaged me and asked me about him on facebook this morning and all i could think to say about him was 'he's bang average, the type of player Hull, Wigan, Sunderland and Newcastle tend to sign from abroad' that was before i realised it was us who'd been linked with him lol

How can you know if they are inspiring or not? Many complained about or scouting etc but now we could be signing a couple no one has heard of some are moaning, proper AIDS this site sometimes
You've just disagreed with my opinion which means you can call this site 'aids' for a few likes, well in.

I'm happy we're signing players, I am not moaning. I'm just stating that they aren't inspiring signings because they aren't - no one has heard of them therefore not inspiring :)
