Everton Transfer Thread 2016

While I'm sure there are Liverpool fans pretending to be Blues here, I am not one of them. Some of you lot are terrible! What's up with you? A light hearted joke about Real Madrid players confusing Everton with Liverpool and there is uproar. You could say YOU are as bad as a Kopite the way you react. Shall I post a picture of my pile of Everton shirts and training tops to satisfy you, you big woman?

I never once accused you, reread my post.

You do protest quite a bit about it though.

I'll take Isco and Jese and 15m for Lukaku. But those type of deals don't work in reality, because Real Madrid players don't want to join a team they've never heard of and who, once again, finished in the bottom half of the Premier League.

"You're going to Liverpool, lads"

"Ah great! 5 times European Champions winners FC Liverpool?"

"No, Everton. They're from the city of Liverpoool."

"Ah ffs. CBA."
But why would players used to playing in the CL and winning domestic titles leave Madrid for a team in the EL (maybe) and who haven't won the English title for 26 years?

You are right mate, and for that I apologise. I replied to your post instead of blue llama's one.

Is a bit weird people accusing fellow fans as being Liverpool supporters for something as trivial as a joke! Being compared to the dark side is pretty much as bad as it can get ...

Money, mate. Torres joined them, they unfortunately are still about to use their 'famous' name to get players, albeit and thankfully less and less. Then the cringefest of a manager the media somehow thinks will get quality players in. And don't forget we're talking about players who don't get in their team and aren't linked to any real big teams (still sure much bigger teams would be interested though). But you're right, any player of that ilk would have better teams to choose from.

They're finished at the top table of football. Miles behind and never getting back up there.

I think they realise that too.

A former football superpower like Ajax (in Europe, obviously...at least Ajax win their own title.)

They just remain as a grubby stain on continental football. Their legacy will always be Heysel. That's what they're known for now.

Torres left Atletico Madrid not real Madrid mate to got to Liverpool, and at the time Athletico where a bit rubbish, so he was basically moving from a mid table spanish team to a mid table English one for a big increase in wages

As can be seen from what happened as soon as he built up a reputation as a proven player he forced through a move to a much bigger team, teams like Liverpool just realsitically can't buy anymore off big teams

true enough that some players who won't get in the madrid or barca teams will be sold and will get bigger teams than everton after them, but liverpool arent one of those teams, case in point the amsuing saga when they tried to sign Sanchez and he said not hanks and went to Arsenal

and the piss soaked tramp in the doorway to the blob shop - Aldo is his name and he can be often heard to shout 'five times' before rolling back over to sleep in his own filth

Yep, they are a stepping stone club. Owen, McManaman, Torres, Suarez, Alonso, Sterling prove it.

Benteke would bag a few being supplied by Payet. People forget he had a 1 in 2 record at Villa and at Liverpool not only is he played in a style that doesn't suit him, but the Kopites have been a graveyard for strikers for many a year now (Suarez and Torres aside who are/ were both world class anyway). Robbie Keane in his prime was top quality yet looked woeful at them.

He's okay mate and I think yeh, in a system that would play to his strengths he'd score goals.

But he hasn't really progressed since that first year at Villa, in all truth.

I won't be gutted if he goes to them.

Aldo to Liverpool is like one of those pieces of carrot you see in sick. Crude, I now, but I really cant think of another analogy that best fits.
I don't even like carrots but they just end up appearing there. Unwanted, uninvited, a mystery how they are in existence. #Aldo

But not from Lennon, Mirallas or Deulofeu who he'd be more likely to come in for. Think we should be aiming a bit higher and I don't think he'd come cheap either.
Three of the names I mentioned (Osman, Pienaar and Gibson) are quite possibly on the way out and, due to age and/or injury history, rightly so. Mcgeady is hopefully gone too. I don't see Del or Lennon going anywhere. Kev will probably go if Martinez stays.

There's space for AOC in our squad once we clear away those who contribute little, and he's got huge scope to be amazing. Let's face it, most of us thought Lennon was nowt special...
