Why moving Stones to right back is that bad idea? Think we'd benefit from being more solid at the back this month. And with the way Coleman is playing this year (cutting inside, isolating Deulofeu out wide) Stones with his composure and ability on the ball would fit right in.

Because he's a centre back. Simple as that mate.

Think all this talk of Yarmolenko/playmaker should wait to the summer as we need a back up forward and long term a 2nd choice RB.

An experienced RB on loan would be good and any funds from Naismith/mcgeady should be going towards another striker. Someone like Austin or Gomis would be ideal.
Agreed. There isn't a team we haven't looked like scoring against. This playmaker can wait.
Gomis though mate? He's guff.

not a bad idea, i think loan for a right back is prob good idea..especially if we have youngsters acoming through and we can get mcgeady off somewhere, replace his wages with a loan right back wages

Two spring to mind ........ Mason Holgate & Geraint Jones. Both can operate at right back with Holgate probably a nose in front of Jones

Agree with this. I think Coleman was generally better last night but there tends to be a lot of wide open spaces down that side on the counter attack. I'd have been reluctant to ever drop him but this is a chance to see if a more conventional right back frees Del up a bit and tightens us up. Stones there is definitely a gamble after last time but he is more experienced now and might be worth trying.

Holgate will probably be another CB project though, just a right sided one. Jones and Kenny are the 2 out and out RBs in the U21s, Kenny is probably the highest rated but he might also need to bulk up a bit more before he can become a defender in the prem.

Bryam would be a great signing, seems to be highly rated. A back up striker would be next best too, a loan will do until the summer. Nais almost certainly leaving so I hope that cash doesn't disappear into a black hole.

Our squad will need a serious trim in the summer.

agree with this as if Stones was playing right back against spurs we would of never conceded that goal.
Coleman was on his way back from an attack when ali made a run, were as Stones would of more than likely would of been facing play
