If that's true - £47M profit on a player who doesn't want to be here. On that basis, good business. Important that we recruit one or two quality CBs to replace him. If he felt under pressure at Everton - nothing says "pressure" like a £50M price tag.

I asked him mate, text me before said it wasn't him as they would want far too much. Still said Witsel is only rumours, hasn't heard anything about a bid we made. Said the defender wasn't worth mentioning yet as it's only an approach been made but would cost 30+ mil for him. This might tie in with Stones likely to leave.
