Everton Transfer Thread - Summer 2020

Mentioned it earlier, but not sure we can attract a better player in his position than Zaha. Willing to be corrected.

He is twenty seven, the best part of a decade younger than Cristiano Ronaldo. Crazy to think that is even remotely 'old'.

Great to sign players and sell them for profit, we will do that with Holgate, DCL, Richarlison, Kean, Branthwaite etc.

But buying a player in his prime that would clearly improve the team massively is also a valid strategy, if that's the route they want to go.

Just as big a priority is offloading likes of Sigurdsson, Iwobi, Bernard.... you know what am not even gonna list them I can’t be arsed get rid of the dross

Zaha is too old. With our financial situation we need to ger them in at 23-24 and sell them on at a profit at 27. Zaha would have no resale value.

Ideally he (or anyone else) stays for 4-6 years, does boss and we don't need to sell anyone then.

the problem is will he clearly improve us? Did not do well at manu and is still expensive. Cant afford another bolasie, klaasen, siggy, or iwobi

He has been one of the best forwards in the league over the last 3-4 years. He would fit easily into any of the top clubs easily. City included. His season at United was when he was a kid six or seven years ago.

But as I said... Is anyone aware of any other player in that position that would come to us that is better than him?

I think he’s a good player, but not as good as some make out. But he would improve us there’s no doubt. But would we be better going for Sarr or Brooks or some young winger from abroad. Who knows

I Have no issues signing players at his age. And expect Ancelotti to sign one or two of them. I think him & Richarlison with DCL/Kean would definitely add 15 to 20 goals to our team. Which would make a massive difference. If we can sort the centre of the pitch out as well.

I suppose it depends on the price, but I wouldn’t be against.

someone throw me up some left footed right wingers please, ones that actually assist and score:

C'mon, like you can use Ronaldo as a benchmark for a player's longevity haha, the man is a freak.

He would definitely improve us, he is a good player. That said if he is stood on the touchline constantly taking to steps backward to retrieve a lazy pass from our midfielders then he probably wouldn't be worth it.

He's been absolutely rubbish this season
