I'm not sure exactly, Hojbjerg was one I liked so that is disappointing, but I think people need to be honest about our position and Atletico's right now and why that signing makes sense for them but not so much for us.

La Liga teams have been hit hard financially id be surprised if he went to Spain for that fee given his profile. AM were always credited with an interest so not sure whats changed really.

I'm also not sure we are even really in for Allan, he fits the profile in the position we need and Carlo and him have that link, but what keeps sticking out in my mind is Carlo saying in January when we were strongly linked with him, that we had no interest with the players that we were being linked with in the press.

Essentially though, we dont really know whats going on, so as you were really and panic.

Funny thing is the only links confirmed by decent journos recently are Hojbjerg and Gabriel.

I'd imagine Tonali and Zakaria are both out of range price was. I'm also not all the way sold on Tonali yet. Everyone seems to rate that Sangare lad yet no one moves for him but I still wouldn't mind if we did. Locatelli was mentioned in an article on the Athletic and it isn't the first time that I've heard he's kicked on since leaving Milan so that is another.

Point being other good players at better prices and better ages are out there to be found. We don't have to do Allan.
