...nah, Young was a class act, Dave. I watched him lots. Very graceful, magnificent touch and prodigious in the air. There’s a view that Alan Ball largely chose Everton because of Young. No gimmicks. If there’s a criticism he wasn’t aggressive, but the game was tough in those days and he survived.

its fair to say McKenzie was a flair player, but I might be being unkind to say he was more suited to the circus.
The number of grocks who used to clog him unmercifully in those days, no referee protection, diabolical pitches etc.
He still used to give them a football lesson. Anyway, do you think we will sign Allan?

The celebrated skills he showed against Stoke just took him from one side of the pitch to the other. Lots of tricks with not much end product was all he ever really offered. Saying that I enjoyed watching him.

Numerous articles from Italy saying the same this morning. We’ve heard it all before though and there’s no way we’ve either got, 40 million euros or willing to pay it. It’ll be far less than that surely otherwise this deal just isn’t happening.

A few details like how he’s greased himself up and chained himself to the roof of Napoli's stadium with a placard saying please don’t send me to Everton taped to his chest
