The problem at Everton is that we have no midfield whatsoever.

Rodriguez, Allan and Doucoure gives us an instant, very good quality midfield.

We can sign and develop young talent once we have the spine of an actual good first eleven together.

Yep, I said very similar a week or so back re: Allan and Doucore. It is possible to get some players for now AND others for the future. The 2 needn’t be mutually exclusive. Zero point in not backing Carlo now with some instant upgrades.

Yep, if we switch to a 433 there'll be him, Gordon, Bernard and Gylfi vying for one/two slots on the bench. I think he'll move Richarlison to the left of a front 3 and Rodriguez to the right. I guess Walcott would be the understudy with Kean at a push, though he'll be our back up striker I reckon

the pace is all up front, richy and DLC are rapid. That midfield is creative and athletic enough to allow them to use it
