I take your point mate, but do you not think that pretty much every transfer story has this kind of narrative?

Its sky sports way of keeping the story relevant when they have no actual info, they suggest that something isn’t quite right, sets off major panic with the fan base, then finally they get info that there’s no problem and it’s back on, hysteria in the fan base and more exposure for the story.

If they just reported that nothing had changed with the James transfer they get none of that extra exposure

Don't want Coleman and his "1 cross every 14 games" anywhere near the starting 11 ever again.

Coleman: I cant see how he works in the team. James would be cutting inside leaving the flank exposed and teams would be targeting Coleman every match. He's ok to keep around for 'stability' as a sub or a right sided defender in a back 3 i think but i pray we sign a top right back.

Keane: Playing him means Allan has to stay deep as the defence will be deep. Allan is dynamic and a midfield dynamo. I am saddened Keane hasnt been sold, hopefully Branthwaite becomes Maldini and Keane is punted next summer.

Gomes: Total liability ambling around for 5 out of 6 games. Has the odd sparkle but done nothing for 4 seasons now. Im hopeful he is sold this or next summer.

At £25mil hes a bargain. Left mid or left centre in a midfield 3.

Have him all day at that price especially with Digne behind him. Great combo.

25m isn't a bargain for a player whose only above average season was 4 years ago and when he played with Bernardo and Mbappe.

Keane and Coleman I understand, tbf I dunno why I didn't put Mina in ahead of Keane. You'd think if we get James, Doucoure and Allan sorted we'll focus on RB next.

Also on Gomes, he thrived when he had Gana's energy around him. I reckon Allan and Doucoure could well help the good parts of his game shine again, though as you say we may just go 442.

Pace in the team would really allow us to improve our game. Emerson and lemar would be brilliant
Only have to look at the RS. Very slow midfield but on breaks that front 3 is so quick. Pace and power is everything in this league. Those 2 would provide that

To be fair some of it is wind up stuff, others I think it’s people not wanting it to fail and get panicky due to past experiences of these things. Fans pay too much attention to these “ITK” type accounts these days, even Alan Myers doesn’t learn sometimes and need to wind it in.

No worries mate I get that people are stressed like, we all badly want these signings!

But all the evidence suggests the deals are pretty much done.

Take a bit of perspective, 2 weeks ago the echo were telling us all our transfers would be free and loans and now we’re about to drop 60-70 mil on 3 top players!
