RE FFP - in the unlikely event that Usmanovs naming rights deal and/or future sponsership deals get rejected by UEFA/PL - would anyone prefer the club to sack off FFP in retaliation rather than reduce their plans/budget? Would love us to do a man city whilst Carlo was here and win us a few trophies.

Couldnt care less if we were banned from europe or docked a few points - us winning even one FA Cup would make it worthwhile.

That assumes we'll win something. What if we did it, spent millions, didn't win anything and then still got a ban/points deduction?

Who's arsed if we got a points deduction?

Ask Man City fans who were there before the success would they hand back all the prem titles, fa and league cups if UEFA let them back in the CL for those 2 potential seasons they are banned from.

If you offered me another 25 years of no trophies and finishing 8-10th with the odd 7th spot here and there playing by the "rules" that favour the elite cartel or just one season winning the league or a trophy or two I would 100% take that and a potential few seasons banned from Europe and 1 or 2 transfer windows.

Thats IF Usmanov is stopped investing btw - if not his sponserships should enable us to spend the sort of money that brings success with a top manager at the helm.

Again, you're assuming we'll win something... why is spending money a guaratantee of success?

Ask Real Madrid, Barcelona, Man City, Man Utd, Chelsea, Bayern, Juventus why they win stuff every year and keep their best talent - £££

Sure you might get lucky once every 40 years and win something without massive cash but say farewell to half your side the following summer transfer window - Dortmund, Monaco, Ajax, Leicester.

Our problem has been garbage managers and awful recruitment - now we have Ancelotti we only need to identify the right players to imo push up the table.

We've spent vast sums lately and regressed - it's not always a sure thing. We could, as I stated, quite possibly lavishly spend (no one is doing this post-virus), win nothing (lots of other teams spend and are already better than us) and then get a points deduction or a European ban.

The real key isn't money spent on transfer fees but money spent on wages. We've spent a lot but we don't pay as much and can't attract the top end players as a result. Same is true for Spurs.
