This transfer window will maybe be on whilst this season is completed and next season starts, chuck in contracts ending for some, the bigger clubs will be well positioned to make lots of business happen, bring it on.

I'm not knocking you mate but is Soares really an option? I am surprised by this.

From what Im hearing mate yes!

Ancelotti also apparently spoke to him privately in January and recent reports have emerged of him trying to sign him for Napoli.

Add Everton Soares himself now studying English language I imagine he'll be our 1st choice out on the LW should we thrash a deal out over the line.

If I hear ought else I'll let you know mate.

All clubs. I think it'll either be hardly any business purely because clubs won't have as much to spend and teams won't feel obliged to sell their prized assets for a cut down fee.

@Stephenlloyd
It works both ways, if some clubs are struggling financially, especially in some of the not so well off European leagues, Then they will probably need to sell to bring money in.

Yes thing might change, but only slightly imo. We aren’t going back to pre sky days and just getting highlights on MOTD. Do you really think the champions league will suddenly stop and they will lose all the sponsorship deals they get.

Where do I reference any of this in my post?

Of course all paper talk is just paper talk at the moment and we shouldnt read into much. However the linking of Bale and Rodrigues are the kind of players I'm not sure we should be going for. Both of them entering the latter stages of their careers. Both will command huge wages and both injury prone.

I remember Mourinho was a pundit for one of our games earlier in the season and he said the profile of player we need to be signing is the Richarlison type. A progressing player who is on the up at his current club and still young. He said Everton have too many players who they sign from clubs higher up the echelons who dont make the grade at them clubs.
Inevitablely these players are what they are and dont have the ability to consistently help a team like us to go to the next level.

He means the likes of Iwobi (not fancied at arsenal), digne (not fancied at barca), mina (not fancied at barca) etc
Often these types have clear ability and on their day can perform to a top 4 team standard. But often have flaws such as motivational issues to really push a team throughout the entire season and are very inconsistent.

The point I'm trying to make is that I would prefer to see us go for some young up and coming talent than sign a risky james rodrigues for a massive wage and then in the (very possible) event that it doesnt work out then your stuck with him and cant get him off the books when hes nearly 30 already.
