Branthwaite wasn’t an academy signing, u23’s is professional football and u23s isn’t the academy. We were banned on signing academy players from like 12-18 weren’t we?

We paid 8m up front for Doucoure didn’t we? So max 30m in transfer fees so far, assuming we paid all up front for Allan (probably didn’t)What have we spent then so far seeing as we’ve got James on a free

I have no feelings at all about Under, but that deal for Leicester is exactly what we should be pursuing to find a RB and RW, 2.7m loan fee with a 22m obligation for next year. Change the fee amounts and sub in whichever preferred players (eg Bailey and Dalot). There are deals to be had that push our financial obligation to next year.
Said if for ages.
The model has its flaws, but the level of played they get off the continent is just fantastic.
Buy low, sell high until they’re sustainable is a great model and fair play to them for being so effective with it.
Soyüncu, Tielemans, Ricardo, Mahrez, Kante, Ndidi, Justin just off the top of my head, plus they’ve got Barnes and Chilwelk who came through and another lad on the fringes now.
Excellent youth and continental structure.

Bailey is left footed and likely less expensive.Leon Bailey or Sarr?
to put it into perspective
Bailey - 23 years old - 22 games in budesliga last season - 5 goals
Sarr - 22 years old - 28 games in prem last season - 5 goals (most notably scored 2 goals against liverpool)
King says Watford want 36 mil + for SarrBailey is left footed and likely less expensive.
I don’t believe the 40m. I think 20-25 would do it.King says Watford want 36 mil + for Sarr
Sky Sports say Leverkusen want over 40 mil for Bailey
Not a chance Leverkusen would get near 40 mil for Bailey, think he'd be gettable for cheaper than SarrKing says Watford want 36 mil + for Sarr

I dunno, I mean, Doucouré went for 20m. Don't see how they would demand almost double for Sarr. They'd probably start with that and settle for between 25m and 30m at the end of the window once he's told them he wants out.I don’t believe the 40m. I think 20-25 would do it.
Sarr on the other hand would likely go for the 36.
