These are two different cases for me. Kean has just gone 20 and moved to a new league and country and didn't speak the language.


Then there's Iwobi who's played in the league for about 4 years.


I expected more from Iwobi this year than Kean.

I'm not all the way sure about Keane. If we bring in another CB and he is clear 4th in the order, maybe he asks to go? You've got the Euros and the World Cup in successive summers and he only gets there if he plays. He is also running out of time to establish himself.

I dont think we are selling Keane, for the reason that we pushed his mental health aspect pretty hard during the lockdown.

13.5 mil seems high for someone who’s never played outside of Asia. No idea if he’s any good, just feels high.

I wouid be happy to see Bernard go. On high wages he’s 27, probably could get a decent fee he’d suit a few leagues. But not if it was to waste the money on rubbish like Fraser.

I doubt we'd get much for him in the current climate and, as you say, if the alternative is chucking 25 million in wages at a 26 year old hobbit from Bournemouth then we might as well pack it up as a club because we will have learned nothing from our recent high wage adventures.

Saw an article in the echo before that the Kopites/Mane rate Sarr at Watford highly.

Said a few months back the lad will be another Richarlison would love us to nab him this summer - would solve our issues in the RW position.

Should have bought him last summer instead we wasted our time on Zaha then the fall back Iwobi.

The thing is even if we got 10mil and his wages off. It would be a big help. Still would have iwobi, Gordon and Richarlison available down the left

He also only has 2yrs left, I doubt he will get a new contract. I’m sure Brands is already looking for buyers

I didn't realize that. You're right, that does make it less likely he will stay.

Just annoying how we seem to spend big money on tosh when players like that and James Maddison etc. are picked up by clubs around and below us.

Mate of mine is a Bolton ST holder for his sins. I remember when Norwich played Bolton he spoke to me that week and said Maddison was easily the best player he’d seen in the championship. Maybe not the best recommendation I agree, but he did say he had no doubts he could handle the premier league and Everton should seriously be looking at him. However if memory serves me rightly, we already had an abundance of No. 10s at the time.
