Everton Transfer Thread - Summer 2020

He'll play Iwobi on the right now i think and monitor Bernard and Gordon on the left.

Its all going to be about what are the priority areas in the team imo. Iwobi would be ok at RM perhaps if he had Emerson charging past him as a new attacking dimension.

The defence really depends on if hes going to keep playing deep as otherwise keeping Keane is footballing suicide and Coleman will become a liability too.

Bernard/Keane 2 years left on contracts can bring in maybe £35mil and £200k a week perhaps in wages.
Is this emerson the lad at Chelsea? Is he up for sale?

Id be quite disappointed if we made signings over 25. Im keen to see Ancelotti and Brands build a side for the long term.

You cant just give Ancelotti carte blanche. He needs to tell Brands what and who he wants and Brands needs to supply him with a list of players which then Ancelotti puts in order e.g 1st, 2nd choice etc for each position.

Then brands works his way down the list.

The 2 main signings id like are Emerson and Gabriel. The midfield im not too sure on.

Very interesting with Keane and Bernard with 2 years left each.
You would assume it's either a new contract or they're available for transfer but who knows, I've stopped trying to figure out Everton's plan for the playing squad.

I see no reason why we have to do something this summer, yes next summer they only have a year left, but so what?

Both players only cost us 25m, we can recoup that easily.

We don't have to do anything, of course, but clubs often look to do something around the 2 year mark in terms of contract expiry because of asset (I know it's grim to view human beings as assets but that's football!) depreciation. Probably less of a concern for Bernard because he was on a free and is a bit older than Keane, but Keane will lose a substantial chunk of his resale value in the next 12 months. I imagine we'll keep Keane, however, and maybe even extend his contract as he's home grown and is actually half decent when we defend deep (he's obviously terrible when we play a high line).

....report that our interest in Todibo has cooled. I can’t say I’d be too disappointed if that is accurate.
Some
If we had to sign anyone from the relegated sides I'd look at:

Norwich
• Aarons - £15-20m - RB
• Buendia - £10-15m - RW

Villa
• Costa - £10-15m - CM

Bournemouth
• Ake - £20-25m - CB
• Brooks - £10-20m - RW

West Ham
• Diop - £15-20m - CB
• Ngakia (free transfer) - RB

Watford
• Doucoure - £10-15m - CM
• Sarr - £15-25m - RW
I'd be all over Aarons. Looked lively against us. Granted Norwich are garbage. Looked quick, strong, willing to get forward. Think they'll be a few sniffing round him.

God knows what we'll do - I was confident we'll bring in 5-6 this summer and really make a go for it with a good few out the door but im not so confident with Brands comments.

Think its going to be 3-4 in at most with the odd one or two out likely on loan.

Walcott is also into the final year of his deal.

I think were targeting 3 players and thats based upon us selling/loaning deadwood.

Additionally if offers come in for squad players then of course we will be able to add more.

Lets hope Brands can sell a huge number of players so we can sign 5 really good ones.

Aarons (Norwich) if we cant get Emerson from Barca.

Costa (Villa) whose that? Konsa/Luiz are the only two who maybe similar to Costa...?

Grealish (Villa) id really like him.

Brooks (Bournemouth) lets see how he recovers from injury.

Cook / Ramsdale (Bournemouth) also good players.

Rice (Wham) Seems like marmite.

Diop (Wham) I really like him but with Ancelotti we may do better

Ngakia (Wham) Appears to be the new Wan-Bissaka, i like him.

Watford (Sarr) Could be top class if he looked before crossing.

This Emerson looks a good player. It says he is owned by barca and real betis on wikipedia so sounds a bit complicated

Barca have a €6mil buyout on Betis. So we would just need to agree a fee with Barca. Rumoured to be able to sell at €15-17.5mil

I think we should sell both of them, if Keane performs well in the next matches then perhaps someone may come in with £20mil for him or we could use him in a swap deal for one of the teams players who survive relegation.

Wouldnt shock me to also see Mourinho interested if hes planning to sit back.

Bernard perhaps £12.5mil - £15mil to a Spanish or Italian side. Again, could be useful in a swap deal.

I totally agree with you about Tobido having watched his last 3 games in Germany I think he is pretty poor, certainly nowhere near ready for our first team. I will be very disappointed if we buy him. We need to go the extra mile and pay what we need to do to sign Gabriel, and he will be good for the next ten years.

I'd like us to sniff around David Brooks. Brilliant player if that injury didn't mess him up. He deserve to play in the Premier League.
