For me he's got the right mix of defensive ability and passing ability to be worthwhile on a cheap deal. I mean he walks in as our best midfielder by leaps and bounds so at 15m I'm ok with that.

We haven’t had one midfielder since Tommy G who would constantly look for a forward pass.

Arteta was superb in CM before his injury but he was a get it back keep it ticking, set the pace.

Barry the same.

Bring me a CM who looks forward first.

If we are going to be a counter attacking team surely finding a CM who finds our attacking players quickly is what we need not another clogger?

There's a lot more to playing the position. Gomes is an average forward passer. If we get another that's pretty good for a midfield, assuming the other unlike Gomes offers a bit defensively.

I’ll take Napoli as they have had one of the most impressive midfield two I’ve seen for a while.

Allan, ball winner and is able to bring the ball forward quickly.

Fabian Ruiz his ability on the balls is superb can set the pace and was able to find the forward players quickly and precisely.

Maybe Gbamin would be Allan in this instance, we haven’t anyone like Fabian Ruiz and that clogger from Saints ain’t either

But we could buy 3 Phillipino toddlers for the same money, its about improving the squad C.

Filipino. Sigh...

In other news, i dont think we'll be signing Weston Super Mid because if we were interested then i think we would have already had an agreed swap with Kenny lined up.

Napoli are 6th in a league with far less quality

True mate but am going off the two CM’s in front of me not the team as a whole.

Anyway seem Spurs won’t be signing many but badly want the clogger so Mourinho will save us from Him.

Make an offer for N’Dombelle seeing as Mourinho is mismanaging another great player

Silly suggestion that NDombelle one Levy would literally want all £63 Million back and no way is Mourinho sanctioning loaning us any players

That I'm behind.

All I meant with Napoli is I'm not sure that is exactly the model to follow. It is tough when the CM position offers little in the final third but when you're playing 4-4-2 you also have to expect that to some degree as they have little cover if they're caught out. The old school 4-4-2 the fullbacks never went up is far so the central players could. Now it is the opposite so for me a solid pairing that can pass forward enough is fine even if they aren't getting the direct goals and assists.

Can only see us brining one in.

Gbamin: Ball Winner

Delph: Waste of Time

Gomes: Box fo Box (before his injury and could actually run a bit)

Tom Davies: God knows

Sigurdsson: Pointer.

It’s fair to say the last thing we need is someone who runs a lot our lack of ability to control the pace of the game needs addressing
Well Ancelotti has mentioned the lack of energy, so I would imagine it will be someone who runs a lot. In an ideal world it will be someone who’s technically very good too, but they cost a lot of money and not loads of them about.

This is how I see you, had we had 2 powerful aggressive midfielders on Wednesday, that Leicester midfield isn’t dominating and having 65% possession.

It’s the full backs and the wide players who will do most of the creating.

Telegraph reporting that Juventus offered Ramsey for Ndombele in a straight swap which spurs rejected as mourinho wants to keep him...

And how do you know we haven't?

The deal would be made public.
