Just what I’ve seen mate, never been impressed by him or noticed him.

I’ve never noticed him myself. The Southampton fans don’t sound too bothered about losing him either.

Looking at the video on the link above, he does seem to have all the attributes we need right now and is a good age with still potential to improve.

There’s a couple if very good judges, Mourinho and Ancelotti who seem to want him as well.

We haven’t had one midfielder since Tommy G who would constantly look for a forward pass.

Arteta was superb in CM before his injury but he was a get it back keep it ticking, set the pace.

Barry the same.

Bring me a CM who looks forward first.

If we are going to be a counter attacking team surely finding a CM who finds our attacking players quickly is what we need not another clogger?

Generally you are right but disagree about Arteta. Think you're being quite harsh. Post injury he definately started to play safer. (Amazing how an injury can change the type of player really isn't it). Pre-injury though he was very progressive for us. Even when Moyes stuck him out on the wing he would be very useful and was one of the best players ive seen in a blue shirt (I'm 28 so generally the bar for 'best player' isn't up to the 80's standard).

You're bang on about the point though, since Arteta we haven't had that player who can unlock a door, or see that hidden pass. I don't mind patience in the build, you can't always go forward but we haven't had a player capable of seeing that smaller gap pass and being able to execute it for a long time.

Our transition and countering has gotten better but we still need some creativity for both the transition and games when we are controlling and being dominant.
