These last few games have evidenced how vital it is we bring the right players in. And lots of them. If carlo wants them we go all out for them. Those turning their noses up at Allan, hojberg (spelling), etc. need their head checking. We are currently abysmal with pretty much a squad full of players who aren't bothered in the slightest.

Indeed, a lot of clubs that have over taken us in recent years havent done so on big budgets, but clever purchases. There are plenty of players in the world, we need to be better at targeting players mental attributes as well as footballing ability, and we need to scout well. It was something Moyes was very aware of, and did to great effect.

For me get pace out wide - McNeil/Sarr on one side and a top wide player like Everton Soares on the other.

No nonsense bulldozers in the middle - Allan, Soumare

attacking fullback on the right like Emerson

Leader at CB someone like Thiago Silva on a free if Gabriel costs too much.

Proper CF up top with Richarlison like Belotti

Sack Pickford off to a London club and get the Don in from AC Milan.
