This is a world where mings and iwobi went for a combined £50m,prices are weird now, people who don't watch our players every minute won't see our players as badly as we do.

If you find someone who wants Bernard for nothing and is able to pay his wages, that would be amazing and very very surprising. The guy is finished for the kind of football that is played nowadays. 40 years ago when they played slow motion football but not today.

That's just not going to happen in one summer. We just need to prioritise the areas we need filling most this summer. We're not going to win the league next year but if we ditch our 3 worst players and replace them with 3 far better players then it would make a huge difference.

not saying that’s going to happen in one window but when someone says we only need 3-4 signings to challenge top six , I would say we need 8-9 players before we get there realistically. 3/4 players for 2-3 windows and we might be getting close depending on our recruitment

I mean he was playing very well in Jan/Feb really. His partnership with Digne from last season was for some reason ripped up this year by Silva.

I agree he's been tosh since the restart, and I think his physicality has a lot to do with that, though that's no excuse for not being able to play simple passes.

There's a quality player in there though - not a world beater but a good player. Back in January nobody was saying to sell him. If a good offer comes in, maybe, but that means we just need yet another winger and tbh I'd rather focus on getting a really, really high quality right winger atm.

How long have we been saying that though, this group of players have given up under several managers now and are showing signs of doing it under one of the greatest managers of all time, got to stop turning the cheek and giving them another chance. Easily one of the worst squads in the league, full of crap poisoness players
Don't agree.
Certainly it is a squad that needs leaders... proper ones.
I think that maybe a couple of the bigger names in the dressing room are more concerned with them selves rather than the club.

There has been a huge turnover of players in recent seasons. I would guess there are very few players at the club for more than three years.

Certainly a market worth looking at.
However, I think the days of getting cheap players there are gone.
Depends what you consider 'cheap'. If we were to sign a 18-20 year old for £15-20m then their value increases to £80m in 2 years it's well worth a go. Wages will be lower although a high fee, but to me it represents less risk than buying 27-28 year olds from top 6 teams for 4 years.

Yeah but he's firmly adjusted now. Constantly involved in all Watford did well until his injury, then they fell off a cliff without him. No more stamina issues really, has filled out a bit.

I just think he's a really effective winger now and will be a steal for any club that gambles on him.

Thing is though you say no stamina issues, but he's not playing wide right for them and trackig back, he was playing as a striker playing off deeny so much less defensive responsibility.
