10 Under 21 players is madness.

As you say we have 5 currently and that's probably the limit, cos IMO there's a 50% chance that 80% of them wont be good enough.

This window we have clearly gone for some ready-cooked players, but we have plenty of players in and around the squad with potential.

That is exactly what Carlo wanted, tried and trusted players around which to build a team. It is clear to me anyway that this is fulfilling his aim to get us into Europe this season, that is his target.

Apart from one or two positions we have the makings of a very good squad, IMO.

A CB on loan will defo happen imo, but loan deals in the PL tend to be done towards the end of the window.

I still think Romero remains a strong possibility and I’d not be surprised if a deal for Zaha, maybe involving players going the other way, was done either.

Lack of pace there. And Laporte wasn’t good enough to cover for stones’s mistakes, so I’m not sure how Keane’s going to cope

True but I think Stones is often underrated - for the mistakes he makes I've also seen him defend will in a Blue shirt against the likes of Aguero & Costa.

Not saying he's a world beater but I doubt we could do alot better than him in the loan market - he's at worst on Tomori's level.

Bale.

Yes, it's utter madness, you have named about 6 people that will probably never play more than 3 games for the first team, most won't play a single game.

We get how you want to build a squad, maybe it would work in other leagues, but it ain't working here.

What makes you think Bale?

You reckon he'd be a good signing if it is him?

Whilst I don’t disagree with you, I do think coming here would be harder for him than elsewhere as it would very much be an uphill battle for him. Every mistake would feel like 10 mistakes for us, given the history.
