I can't see how it would make sense from a financial perspective. On loan i'd be all over it, he is actually a decent player and could cover both DCL and Richarlison, but for the sort of fee you'd be looking at I just can't imagine it being a good deal.

Yeah I mean I could well be wrong and probably am. Just seems we're willing to not rush on a forward which leads you to believe that we're in for one from the Championship if at all.

Could be surprised, though!

Its mad, I always thought Oblak was like 6'5 at least.

I know its a running joke, but arm length and reach definitely has a lot to do with it.

But its also how they set themselves, watching clips of that Mendy that Chelsea have signed he hunches over and gets really low to the ground when he sets himself and really doesn't look 6'6.

Its such a weird thing.

Definitely, shoulder width plays a big part as well and can make taller keepers look a lot shorter if they have a narrow frame. Pickford looks so dumpy in comparison to lots of other keepers of similar height even when he’s stood still.

In terms of frame, I think what you are looking for in terms of a goalkeeper is Donnarumma. Hes like 6'6 or something but has that weird blend of being both gangly and stocky at the same time and looks gigantic in goal. Not seen much of him play but coming into a team like Milan at the age he did and to stay there, he has to have something about him. I'd like us to go for someone like him.
