Our signings have been top drawer. Not sure we could have done better.

I just dont agree with allowing our back up forward to leave without an option coming in. We are always only 1 injury away from a major headache and it holds us back.

The way I look at it is Ancelotti will have sanctioned this move, so he must be confident in the options he has. If he wasn't, Kean would still be here.

Far from ideal, definitely, but we've clearly moved on from just signing any old player for the sake of it.

Olsen just seems like a bit of a pointless signing. We knew Pickford was a problem before the season and should’ve acted a lot sooner. Could’ve easily had Romero before the start of the season.

Priorities were elsewhere on the pitch

Pickford is awful. Not been happy with him since he got here. The odd good reaction save doesn’t gloss over all the mistakes or lack of dominance in the area.

That's a lie isn't it. He was our best player by a country mile his first season here. Just after the world cup he's steadily declined to became the worst keeper in the league.

He's something we don't have, big, strong, and a head the size of a small moon.

Within 6? Weeks we went from being battered by Bournemouth to sitting top of the league with a striker scoring for fun, a world class midfielder that is a joy to behold and a midfield pairing that we haven't seen since the 80s.

We will have issues and part of that has to take into account tosun/bolasie/Walcott/Sandro alone taking wages up that would be otherwise used for new signings. How much is that? Over 400 grand a week?

We have a boss first 11, better than 2 months ago so let's enjoy the next few months eh?

Safe to assume Lossl will leave so this is just like for like. We stick with Pickford and he either rediscovers some form or we improve on him next summer. We can't fix everything in one window
