Hang on, isn't this the same defence that started our last league game, though?

Yes but not our last game.

Mina has been constantly in and out. How could he possibly get a feel for the league. I don't get why we are playing a liability we have on loan who Chelsea will look to sell to the highest bidder.

It was the only way to find out his best pairing which I think is Keane and Zouma. Mina looks ok but I don't know, I'm not 100%.

It was enforced v Chelsea but up until that point, Keane and Zouma had actually got some sort of understanding going.now as usual, feeling the need to play Mina because of his price tag. What should have happened, is Zouma came straight back in and allowed to continue the partnership he had built with Keane, instead it's different every game and you can tell, there's also JJK been shunted again, not just the CBs.

It's probably just horses for courses.

King is quick, Fraser is quick. Zouma has more pace than Mina.

You may be right Toff but we should be looking to cement a partnership in there and if he’s wary about playing Mina and Keane against Bournemouth at home it doesn’t bode well. (Could just be that Mina hasn’t been feeling it this week in training for any number of reasons though)

Seems like the right side to me. Not sure what else some of you want. Zouma and Keane have a bit more pace than Mina. Mina may be better with the ball, but Bournemouth isn't going to be packing it in. Would like to see Lookman on the left as Coleman / Lookman both seem to like to play more insde, but perhaps Silva will switch them around.

Just hope that Coleman makes better decisions with the ball and takes care of it today.

Probably our best 11 if you accept all the centrebacks are equal. Worries me though that a Chelsea loanee is getting game time over our 30 million pound centreback.

.....not me, Zouma is first choice because he provides what the other two don’t have. The choice is always whether Keane or Mina starts alongside Zouma. I’d definitely go with Mina but Silva clearly has concerns.

I thought Zouma was crap v Lincoln but i wouldn't say he's been a liability. All of our defenders have been about as decent/crap as each other.

Zouma is quicker than Mina so logic suggests against King and Fraser he'd be a better fit.

As discussed in the week Eggs, I think Mina and Zouma just don't work. They're both too similar. Both try to be aggressive and sometimes that leaves us exposed.

Keane is a bit more conservative and more of an organiser.

....wow, Mina must be very slow if Keane is quicker.

I agree and that's a fair point.

But in the last two league games this has been the partnership so he's clearly sticking with it.

FWIW, as crap as Zouma was last week, he played well v Leicester. Didn't let Vardy have a sniff. It was Keane who cocked up. But based on how Mina and Zouma play together, I just don't like them as a partnership.

we are in serious trouble if Zouma is quicker than Mina because Zouma is slower than my granny (and she's been dead for 20 years)!
