As discussed in the week Eggs, I think Mina and Zouma just don't work. They're both too similar. Both try to be aggressive and sometimes that leaves us exposed.

Keane is a bit more conservative and more of an organiser.

.....Silva clearly thinks along the same lines as you. I might be wrong, but I thought we were unbeaten in games that Zouma/Mina have started.

It's probably just horses for courses.

King is quick, Fraser is quick. Zouma has more pace than Mina.

But keane is like a tugboat.

Was my view, but Mina has looked a little suspect.

Given Barca have a buy back option on Mina as well, you could argue he's a glorified loan.

Not many loans were the loaning teams pays the other club 28m to loan their player like.

Please Lookman, just have a good game. Not that I have anything against Walcott, I just can't stand to every single fan in the ground moan about him anymore.

After being held up, I switch on the TV at 1.25 and, after a good 5 minutes of adverts followed by a view of Goodison and being told what a sticky time we've had lately (aren't Sky's scriptwriters brilliant?) it switches to a preview of the Spurs match!

I thought Zouma was crap v Lincoln but i wouldn't say he's been a liability. All of our defenders have been about as decent/crap as each other.

Zouma is quicker than Mina so logic suggests against King and Fraser he'd be a better fit.

Zouma is the biggest problem in our set play woes, along with Pickford not being commanding.

Zouma doesn't sense danger. He doesn't judge the flight of the ball well. He watches the ball and not his surroundings. I've not been impressed at all.

That’s twice Jonjoe Kenny has been dropped this season after the team has won, like Seamus but Kenny has done okay since he came back and deserves better than this,bit of a smack in the gob for Jonjoe. Hope we win this game, getting
a bit worrying the form lately.

Mina is just going to take a bit of time, he'll be a good player, but right now, his ball skills are terrific and we know how good he is in the air. It's just not the best fit for this particular match. It's a good thing. Much like if Silva had some central midfield options it might look different, but it can't because we have ZERO depth or options.

Think about that - we have ONE central mid on the bench today. ONE! We should have 2 or 3.

BTW, the fact that McCarthy isn't fit enough to make the bench you'd think means he's going on loan somewhere. Maybe he's still far away, but seems to me that he would at least help coming off the bench if he was fit.

If we had 2 or 3 CMs on the bench we wouldnt have 2 or 3 attacking options.

Thats probably why McCarthy and Morgan didnt make the bench.
