Paid one of the EITC guys to get my tickets as get them, as then they're £25 each. Only find out yesterday he didn't order them. Majorly pissed off. It's my birthday Saturday & off work, was really looking forward to going. I'd of bought them last month if I'd of known.

This was from this morning on the Bbc site, apoligies if its already been posted but only just got up as on nights. Interesting that still no Distin mentioned !!

Everton manager Roberto Martinez has to assess whether Ross Barkley is fit enough to make his first appearance of the season against Aston Villa.

The England midfielder has been sidelined by a knee ligament injury sustained on the eve of the season but returned to full training this week.

Martinez is also hopeful over defender Seamus Coleman (thigh) and midfielders Steven Pienaar (hip) and James McCarthy (thigh) but Kevin Mirallas (hamstring) is still out while defender John Stones is recovering from knee surgery.

Provisional squad: Howard, Hibbert, Coleman, Jagielka, Baines, Barry, McCarthy, Besic, Gibson, Naismith, McGeady, Lukaku, Robles, Oviedo, Browning, Alcaraz, Atsu, Pienaar, Osman, Eto'o.

Even if Villa are without Delph, this is still going to be a very tough game. Villa look decent and difficult beat so every Everton player is going to have to play out of their skin for us to take the three points tomorrow. Win this, and I can see us gradually climbing back up the table in the top 5-6, but lose, then I really think we'll finish 8-9th at best this season. A solid 3-0 Everton victory with Rom x 2 and Naismith will do just fine.

Great preview again Chico, don't know how you do it but it's the highlight of my week every week!
I know I'm just a sad old git but I don't give a toss!

Season starts tomorrow surely.

We've been unlucky and there's still time to rectify it and improve on last season but it has to be a win tomorrow, otherwise I will start to sway into negativity.
