when we played United, the massive difference between the two clubs was evidenced when you look at the bench, they brought on Cavani and decent players , we had Iwobi and some kids.
 
P.S. Many on here have PM’d me, castigating my perceived oversight in not giving Merseyside wet nursing homes a Blue Chrimbo mention. Actually, I deliberately omitted mention of such institutions, since it has been suggested that watching our brave lionhearts causes milk to curdle ...with some wet nursing mums even claiming their milk dried up altogether!

2 seasons Villa have been in this division. Beat us comfortably twice and we stole a point at home. It's absolutely inexcusable. I genuinely am sick to death of us.
 
We ran out of steam weeks ago. We never had a chance of champions league football. I trust Carlo, but the last few weeks (maybe months) have been woeful, something needs to change over the summer. What is going through the minds of the people that didn't vote for Pickford for MOTM, without his performance we would have been on the wrong end of a thrashing?

Ever considered that it might partly be the way the manager sets the side up? He thinks that playing football the old Italian way will bring success. Clearly it still does as a way of playing away games, but he's showing no signs of remedying the dreadful home tactics and performances.
You ask 'how does he fix this mess'. I suggest the first thing he's got to do is drop this defensive mindset.

When I see Holgate twice do the same thing and the second one does for us, I wanna see our players and manager rip him for it, none of our players ever seem to show any fight, Coleman aside, never angry, never in a refs face etc etc teams from our past had fight and fire in their bellies, this team has none!

He took over an underperforming group of players and spent about £250m. Their squad is one of the most expensive and best in the world. We've improved massively since Silva got sacked. Our summer signings have all improved us and Carlo has given us the belief to get results we haven't managed to for years. Our home form has been awful, granted but if we finish 8th that's still a big improvement from where we were.

It’s ok mate no offence taken, we all have different opinions!
I wanted Holgate dragged off, he needed to be made an example of to show the others that that level of performance just isn’t acceptable at this club. We’ve been a soft touch for years mate, that team hasn’t got the belly for a fight, no pride in the shirt at all. I’m the same as you, if you could see them leave it all on the park you’d have no complaints about the result. We just go through the motions though and it’s not good enough. I still don’t want big Dunc though haha

It hints at a huge deficiency in our underage capabilities IMHO.
 
BJ and Baby Bop are Yanks; they probably know a lot about baseball and American football...but bugger all about real football (ie English togger). And yes, I appreciate they are his great friends, but Barney really should not be tactically setting our team up, based on the opinions of his friends. Insensitive of me?, perhaps, but sometimes a spade needs to called a spade, and pussyfooting about issues just leads to damp socks.
 

Been an Everton supporter for almost 60 years. Sometimes they just wear me down. Another blown opportunity today. It's so forking predictable.
