Make the subs Carlo and make a statement, you play like you're hungover and you're hooked off.

I know he has few options, but he has options.

When are we going to see accountability for consistent poor effort and performance?

I think Ancelotti has got this wrong here.

He's instructed to play out, repeatedly - and it's given Villa impetus to step up. They know we're not good enough. It's obvious they could get at Holgate - and there's midfielders like Gomes who hide and don't give the easy ball out for defence.

Also getting concerned how the tempo is always so flat from the off, and how Ancelotti seems to allow so many players to play their own game.

We're all over the shop, no balance, no tempo.

As bad as any Everton performance in years - thankfully a combination of Pickford, luck, and Villa being poor has meant we're not 4 or 5 down.
This is what happens when you spend half the season in two banks of four defend for your lives and grind out 1-0 type tactics. You want to do something else and you can't.

There are other problems, Gomes bad, Sigurdsson invisible, CBs are infinitely pressable, Coleman isn't a possession player. But ultimately you've got to play the right way.

Mina for Holgate and Davies for Gomes right from half time and save the 3rd sub till a bit later to see what's needed. Making no changes after that codswallop would be completely pointless and will produce more of the same. It's not rocket science.

So no creativity on the pitch then

Right now we're playing for 1-1, and we won't get it if we don't sort defense in a massive hurry.

Our best hope for creativity is up the flanks, and Digne is currently neutralized by being on an island with little support ahead and a questionable CB pairing to try and cover for.

I disagree with that, 2 of his players are out and the replacements are absolutely rubbish. Also harsh to blame the manager when defenders are having a nightmare.

'his players'

ffs, he's been here 17 months.

He's playing the absolute dross. I'm not saying we have world beaters on the bench, but there is no way on this green Earth that Gomes should be jogging about midfield at the moment when we have Davies there who has proved he can do a job when we need a bit more solidity in there.

There's no way that we should be playing stupidly from the back against this pace. And there's no way we should be playing Holgate and Godfrey against a team who like to whip crosses in.

I hate watching the game and reading some of the utter bedwetting muck on here. Some of you can't function without criticising the team you claim to 'support'. Honestly, wouldn't you be happier following City or getting a hobby ? You're pathetic.
Oh shut up, we’ve been poor and rightly calling them out on it
