Dyche could very well have kept us up if he was was hired pre-WC or even pre-Jan. We’ve been doomed since taking too long to bin Frank. At least we’re going down swinging by comparison; some decent chances being created in the last few games.

Completely agree. Should have been after Bournemouth. But we didn’t so we are where we are.

I’d say we have played better than we did against leeds.

Clearly the fact that we can’t score enough goals will be the reason we won’t get out of it.

It's not strange - he made the selection fully well knowing we're overloading crosses and need someone to work with them. He then, fully knowing this, picked Maupay to start.

Maupay went on to either miss horrible or just butcher several chances. Yeah, Dyche didn't make the mistakes the players did, but ultimately he picked the players that made them when he had other options.

Before anyone says EXPERIENCE - Maupay can have all the experience and the world and he'd still be a non league striker. It's not about that, it's about bizarre preference.

I think Simms’ derby performance has been an influence.

Todays defeat belongs to the owner/board as will the relegation which is looming large, you can’t win if you can’t score and they sold a forward in the window when everyone in football knew we needed to buy a goal scorer. The issue is that the team has played to its maximum potential without scoring and lost 2-0 that is a very worrying thing.

Yep. If you took goal scoring out of the equation we actually played alright.

Problem is we have to rely on luck to score and you won't win many games that like that.
