Think we’re playing well myself. Villa with Emery are definitely a side that should have aspirations of Europe and we’re outplaying them in large parts.

If we stay up this season there’s no reason why Dyche can’t put together a fairly comfortable decent mid table side next year. Not Europe but like 12th and never in fear of relegation, build from there.

Also as someone that’s backed McNeil since day one I’m delighted to be seeing what he can do for a manager that plays to his strengths.

Missed the Onana booking, was it a yellow fair & square?
Working McNeil here, we're just missing that half bounce our way, refs been tragic, Maupay is thinking about not taking his chance instead of relaxing and having a go, got the feeling we may be unlucky today, loved the Coleman 'Gandalf' moment, need someone to have a swing at a half chance - we seem to be trying to will the ball in instead of belting the bleeder. Shame we aint got Cal-Lewin on, we'd see a lot more stick up top and they'd not be so happy tippy tappy at the back trying to draw us out. Exciting half (matron!) would like the same again. Would still take the point today but I guess there is a goal in it. props to the midfield.

Just watched that half and came away fairly happy with our play. Once again restricting the opposition and with us looking the most threatening albeit our striker situation is a sore point. If we had a half decent striker we wouldn't be where we are. Fairly happy, yet come on here and the wet the beds and pure idiots slating each and every player off makes me think if I am too easy to please or just see a game totally different.

McNeil has been by far our best player and doing his job very well yet people saying sub him etc. Some right pratts on here
If we'd had a half decent striker under Lampard we'd be exactly where we are now. The impr improvement in our overall game

If we'd had a half decent striker we'd be exactly where we are now if we still had Lampard in charge. The improvement in our overall play under Dyche is there for all to see.

I was exaggerating with 2 yards mate, calm down.

Still think we had the bulk of the best chances. I can’t even remember Villa creating anything of note.
You're right we've been largely better. But the best chance was Watkins 1v1. Which is a shame because we've had the ball in good areas enough to create something and haven't.

What worries me is that playing this way will have that be the story more often than not.
