Needed to remove Lampard after Bournemouth and get a couple of attacking options in January and we would have been well clear. Actually disgusting how the last few months have played out but no surprise with these clowns.

We known we've needed attackers since November. We got rid of 2 in January.

And our top goalscorer can't get in the side now.

I know everyone blames not having a striker but the rest of the team are absolutely awful

We dominated this game for 60 minutes though. Yeah our players aren’t great but we’ve been all over these putting balls in dangerous positions and a proper striker would’ve seen us score.
At one point around an hour in I saw we had 10 shots to their 3 and apart from Pickford rushing Watkins early on they’d created nothing until just before their pen

It's not strange - he made the selection fully well knowing we're overloading crosses and need someone to work with them. He then, fully knowing this, picked Maupay to start.

Maupay went on to either miss horrible or just butcher several chances. Yeah, Dyche didn't make the mistakes the players did, but ultimately he picked the players that made them when he had other options.

Before anyone says EXPERIENCE - Maupay can have all the experience and the world and he'd still be a non league striker. It's not about that, it's about bizarre preference.
