I don’t know what people expected today. We lack quality, we all knew this, we have been watching these players struggling for long enough to know we don’t have any world beaters. A weeks training under Big Dunc isn’t going to turn ordinary players into Man City. We did go very direct at times but with our group I think we have to go back to basics. Good teams play to their strengths but teams like us have to play to minimise your weaknesses.
Today we deserved a draw on our second half showing, We should have scored at least one.
I think if we preform like that against Newcastle we could win.
At least we have seen something different today, we aren’t going to beat the top teams, we aren’t going to shoot up the league but we aren’t going to get relegated which we would have done under Benitez. Hopefully this in-depth review which is taking place throughout the club can see us change direction and rid ourselves of the dross that are running things at the moment.

Pumped up atmosphere, back to basics tactics and players flying into tackles.

This will be tasty today and I reckon we will overwhelm them and nick it 2-0. An early Richarlison goal and DCL later on.

F**kin come on....

Not getting relegated, I am very worried, this could happen.

Just really, really cannot stomach when fans act in the most disgusting ways. Throwing that bottle was one thing. That guy punching the Lyon player was what punctuated the failure of Unsworth that time and christ there are so many incidents.

If we don't get the result then damn it all to hell. Sometimes our fans act like a jealous unstable teen who just had his first breakup, like "i love you if you leave me ill kill myself". Why cant we just be positive. Learn something from effing Brighton or whatever. Take things in stride. Get punched in the teeth and smile.

Aye we play like relegation fodder. Lots of want and lots of guile and little quality. We ought to just accept that for now and let the team rebuild.

Nothing wrong with our defence apart from falling asleep on one set piece again....we can't score we had more than enough chances in the 2nd half - for all the doom mongers that was a far better performance from us -

DF will get us results, dont want a new manager appointed too quickly, especially a untested premiership one ......
Kenny was blatantly scared and Holgate got away with a few mistakes. Some his passing was awful too.

….you‘re best changing your user name, Matey.

People need to understand that Everton right now is in a fight not to go down to the last three spots. At this point, and after six months wasted on a manager that, in my opinion, has not been good for the last ten years, we have to lower the expectation for the team to be brilliant. From now until the end of the season, we need points. I left this game a bit more optimistic with that second half, but the reality is that football is a 90-minute sport, so the intensity has to be there the whole time, not just 45 minutes. We don't have a manager, with all due respect, we don't have quality in the squad, we don't have a board that can make good decisions, and those are facts. But at the very least, I expect everyone in Everton to come to every game with hunger, with the willingness to go down fighting. That's is my expectation. Vamos Toffees!!!
