Maybe, but there's no evidence we play better with all three of them. It also doesn't leave much option for when one gets tired/injured. The biggest issue is that you sacrifice one of Gray, Richarlison and Townsend, who all offer much more than an extra body in the middle would.

Not sure townsend does tbf. Let's see. I'm not too confident seeing that side anyway. Can see coutinho getting on the ball loads here as a 10

Tell you what, we need to rough them up and make it difficult. Coutinho and Buendia won't like a physical game and if we nullify them two then it will go a long way.

I do worry for Kenny up against Coutinho and Digne though.

Lets be honest the squad is piss poor anyway - Rondon and Coleman are no worse than Holgate or Kenny on their day.

Just find it funny how its pretty a subdued reaction on here to the team news when the last few months its been a meltdoon soon as the formation is released never mind the team selection itself!

They may not be but you'll find it hard to find people who will not agree that Seamus, Keane and Rondon deserve to be dropped

Doucoure and Gomes probably don’t fill anyone with confidence in a 2, but remembering what he got Sigurdsson and Schneiderlin to do against Chelsea should calm the nerves a bit.
