Get in Beckford lid! Hopefully that'll settle him down. I don't think we could have done much more by the sound of it. Bolton gave Spurs a pasting at the weekend, so they're no mugs. We dominated for long periods and showed great spirit to get back into the game so late. We're 12th now, but only 2 points off 5th!
I agree Moyes leaves it too late. I know beckford has looked out of depth this season but he just needs time and always bringing him on with ten mins to go won't improve him. I'd like to see him and Saha start.

He had been kicked and elbowed all night, with no protection from the cock-end referee, and when the 15th bad challenge went in and the Bolton player wrapped legs to keep him on the deck he reacted. I'd have thrown Hibbert on at that moment to crucify both Davies ankles, but that is why I am not manager.
Always a physical game vs a kick and rush side like Bolton, no excuse for Fellaini reacting, but he is a human being not a pig so having been cracked over and over he is allowed to react. Shame he didnt make the Bolton player lose a testicle.

Why did Moyes not bring on Yak or Saha before he did eventually in the 8 ******* 1 st minute???
We were trailing weren't we and it was clear that we were not finishing chances. So why wait so long? Then when Bolton struck...it made Moyes look silly cos we had the game under our belt and by then had 21 goal attempts before yak n becks came on.
This is not a college football tournament, it's the PL...it has got better and better, Wolves,blackpool,west brom etc can't be taken lightly so what possible reason was there to wait so long to bring on strikers...one of whom even scored! Just imagine, if he had been on the pitch for a bit longer WITHOUT the presurre of losing, he could have done better!
it's nothing new and it's not kneejerk. We have seen how long he waits before making the RIGHT sub. At Blackpool he was terrific with his subs but today I expected that he'll be the same clever Moyes who thought one step ahead.
Jags' howler was not to blame for this result. Howard has done twice as many but it was clear that we were like arsenal 2 years ago who would take alot of time on the ball without finishing it much.
How many shots did saha had on goal with his feet. How many shots did Cahill,Pienaar,Arteta had that TESTED them?
There's the problem mate!....It was possession like always and no finishing.
Arsenal is a tough game and you would want striker to be firing all cylinders for that one.
