Did anyone think Howard could have done better with the cross that came in for their goal?

I keep looking to see if he should have...... Howard is great except for when he has to make the decision to come off his line. If he would just come out and own his space a little quicker he would be soo much better.

The save on the Header by Holden was an ace reaction.

Neville 6.5 - steady
Distin 8 - great again

Nevile in no mans land for their goal despite Taylor naturally being his man to mark, and Dustbins distribution was awful all night, not to mention the arbage attempt to cover the man for their goal.

Was that irony, or are you for real?

Sorry Sylvain, I guess no matter how well you play, some Evertonians will never love you :'(

Me too mate, even though I'm desperate for him not to.

Oh come on, that was an exquisite save today to stop Holden. I don't think he was at fault for their goal at all, personally. We just got caught out, thanks to an indiviual error again, and they played the right ball at the right time to capitalise fully.

I rate him mate, but he's cost us a few too many points this season. It's frustrating.

He has, as I've mentioned before myself (like last weekend, he cost us against Blackpool), but today he was good. He didn't have much to do -- only two real goal threats, and he stopped one and couldn't do much about the other.

My worry was that his errors would become a regular thing, and they may yet become that, but today at least he was good, and so I'm not going to **** him off today. Just like how for today, Beckford is the new Drogba. :P

Didn't get to watch the match because of work but "watched" it on Soccernet's Gamecast.

It was ALL Everton in terms of shots, possession, commentary, etc... So I wasn't surprised with Bolton scored. Pleasantly surprised with Beckford scoring.

Sounds like Jags screwed up, Billy didn't really take advantage of his start, and Distin played a blinder. Fellaini lashing out almost cost us and might cost us in the next few matches.

Heitinga and Distin to start in back against Arsenal? Yeah, I know, it'll never happen but the players know that there aren't consequences for making mistakes because Moyes won't rotate.

You can watch the replay on ESPN3 if you want to bear the frustrations we all felt.

I'd fast forward to stoppage time in the 2nd half to be honest.

Sounds like two hours that most people won't ever get back.

We've got to find a way to make the possession count on the offensive end. It's all well and good if you hold it as after all, the other team can't score. But we've got to start scoring. Any striker that goes on a goal scoring run has got to know that he'll be playing a lot if he can put a few in.

Strikers:
Yakubu =1 goal
Saha = o goals
Beckford = 1 goa

Mid:
Cahill = 5 goals ( yet again, the standout performer)
Arteta = 2 goals( ok tally but below par overall)
Pienaar= 0 goals( doesn't shoot well from long range...always weak in shooting)
Osman= 0 goals
Billy = 0 goals
Fellaini = 0 goals
Coleman = 1 goal ( class performer still)
Rodwell = 0 goals ( has hardly featured)
Heitinga = 0 goals
Defenders:

Neville = 0 goals
Distin = 0 goals
Jags = 0 goals
Baines = 1 goal ( best of the season so far)
Hibbert = 0 ( what are the odds for that)

It can be seen where it's lacking. 2 goals from strikers. 3 goals in total fro midfield when Cahill isn't playing in the midfield either
What about the defenders? 2/3 years ag0 when we had Lescott and Yobo starting at cb...the defenders would pop up with one odd goal. How many times has Jags and Distin scored from the setpieces?

Yes, the deliveries have been [Poor language removed] due to Mikel Arteta but in general, they never come close even. That's a major worry.
