I just don’t know why we’re playing 5 at the back at home to this team.

I mean I do because our defenders are complete and utter toilet, but if we can’t trust Patterson and Keane in a back 4 against this lot then we really are in trouble.

It'll obviously never happen but that half should spell the end for about half that team at Everton. The young lads and Allan are the only ones remotely arsed, utter disgrace that there's over half a million pounds per week in wages spent on this 11 and they can't convince against a bloody non league team.

For god sake we played like them against City, there's apparently a gap of 19 clubs at most between City and us in terms of quality, there's supposedly a gap of nearly 100 clubs between them and us tonight and I wouldn't say that we've caused much harm at all.

Entirely expected. They defend deeply, and occasionally get into our half. Second half they will tire, we will bring on our better players, and SHOULD win it in the end...

Barely a goal threat in the team. The starting XI was far too defensively minded given the opposition.

I wouldn't wait long before changing it. In fact I'd probably do it at half time.

Given the injuries and cup-ties and the ensuing lineup changes, it's no surprise these guys are playing like they've just been introduced to each other, which actually may be the case.
