Think an Allan / van der beek / Alli midfield has some real potential.

Though Mykolenko looked solid if a little bit meek defensively at times…he’s going to have to have a big second part of the season with Godfrey out. Big onus on keeping Mina fit now.

I think we will win enough points with the attacking players we have to get to safety. Defensively we need some new players in the summer as I have no faith we can keep clean sheets.

It's an attractive midfield on paper. One to be snide, one to box-to-box and one to stretch defenses and provide attacking quality. In principle, all should look better playing next to players at that level.

Hopefully, Branthwaite can step in and do a job if we can't keep Mina on the pitch.

The contract situation will force a Mina sale-and-replace, and at a minimum we have to do something about Holgate.
