Thought it was a chalk and cheese performance today! Allan was everywhere and I particularly appreciated him getting in the ref's face when he booked Gordon after the Brentford guy fell over. Gordon was excellent at being Gordon!
Gomes did well too and we kept the ball so much better that it took all the pressure off the defense - albeit they still looked wobbly at times. Pity Godfrey got injured but big Yerry did great getting a goal. Richy's goal was class by both him and Allan. Townsend's goal looked right out of the James Rodriguez playbook.
How good was it to see us keep the ball and attack a team instead of the 11 behind the ball hoofball of the Spanish Henry the Eighth.

Agreed Roy, Lampard has been gifted real talent with Gordon and Gray. A snip at £1.5m Gray was excellent again today. The big test is next we when we travel to Geordieland for what will be huge game, if we win there and do the same at Leeds we all may just be able to exhale - just a little bit!

Very impressive performance. I had to admit when I saw the starting line up I wasn't overly impressed.

Can see what an influence Frank has had on the players. From the training videos this week it looked like they were doing lots of 1 touch drills and i though we moved the ball a lot quicker, especially in midfield.

We badly needed that win. Yesterday was the funeral of my last remaining grand parent. So it's been a tough few days, but that win has really brightened up my mood. Hopefully this win, is going to be the start of better days for this club.

Well he first showed up a couple of years ago when Benitez was linked to the job, talking exclusively about Benitez. Then he disappeared and didn't post for 18months until the summer when Benitez was linked and then appointed. He then hung around like a bad smell until Benitez was sacked, and he's now more or less stopped posting.
