It just goes to show maybe conceding possession, conceding territory and playing a sloth up front was not the way to get the best from these players. There were still problems, Coleman had to be bailed out by Pickford after another horrendous back pass into our 6 yard box, we let them get at us far too often down our left hand side and Richarlison and Gray really need to start to pass to one and other. Having said that, we tried to do the fundamental things well, controlling the ball, passing the ball and putting in tackles in our opponents half. Some of the little triangles we played were nice to watch and we were in control of the game, which is very rare for us this season.

I enjoyed the game, and, although it's early days yet was obvious that we had a plan and that it involved getting hold of the football and trying t keep it. Good start Frank.

Unless someone consistently fills in that right side of defence(Allegedly Coleman was meant to be there ) .We will still have big problems.

In many ways, just like Lampards team won the CL, Rafas team won the FA cup 5th round, all credit to Rafael here, laid the foundations

Players played closer together enabling some fast passing and unlocking some presses. Makes a change from players running away from the player with the ball. If Lampard is given time he will get the midfield sorted and playing decent togger

A win, four goals and players to come in. Shame about the injury to Godfrey but a satisfactory day. I don't think Frank Lampard has turned us into a good team in the week he has been here but it does look like he will be able to find a way to get the best out of what we have. Today is a start, a good start. He has given us some hope that things can and will improve, that will do me for today.

It was the 4th round m8. But yes I will keep my Rafael poster above my bed for now. He deserved this. I'm going to stand outside the wrong house with my "thanks Rafael" banner

We badly needed that win. Yesterday was the funeral of my last remaining grand parent. So it's been a tough few days, but that win has really brightened up my mood. Hopefully this win, is going to be the start of better days for this club.
