Or looking at his new team mates (Rodríguez) and manager and thinking I’ve just signed for Everton with Ancelotti as my manager while they’re sitting top of the league!
let that sink in for a sec
Just going the offy for my beers will defo help me process something special happening at our club ;)

A day to stand up and be counted.
Tom Davies I thought was excellent in the Allan role, first time I’ve seen him want to tackle and do it competently. Little bit out of sorts at RB but not helped by a listless Walcott ahead of him.

Iwobi did a job tbf to him.

I said James would win us the game and make Solly March look ordinary while doing it and he did, dreamland that he is at Everton.

but Yerry Mina my lord. Imperial performance.

Should have been to nil would feel very hard done by for no clean sheet if you were part of the back four today.

Hand it over rs
Bit like Lampty. Looks great going forward. not so good defending.

Player Ratings:

Pickford 2- Seem not able to cover post to post from long range missiles. Neither can cope with short range head on softies, palming either into goal or giving assist.

Coleman 8- Appreciate his value more when you see how Davies is so vulnerable at his position.

Keane 7- A bit tired after 6 continuous full game otherwise accomplished.

Mina 9- Important header reminding us of his 2 headers before half time which calmed the team going into the tunnel. His timely blocks helped keep classic Everton self implosion at bay.

Digne 8- Decent game.

Doucoure 8.5- Have to be less box to box as need to cover for slower compatriots Sig n Tom. Else when free to advance crafted assist of beauty.

Siggy 7- Played his heart out tracking back in first half. 2nd half was less visible.

Davies 6- Painfully awkward in first half, clueless and shied away from receiving passes in opponent's half. Beside passing back he was again gutless. 2nd half put in a couple of tackles and was more lively when we led by 2 goals. Vulnerable at right back.

James 9.5- One assist, Two goals, pace maker, goal creator, pass stringer, … just magnificent footballer.

Richarlison 8- Can see the injury affected him but faultless in commitment, which resulted in aggravating his injury. A warrior.

DCL 8- Can't seem to shake off scoring. Hope he keeps up with the addiction.

Delph 7.5- Revived player after his sent off and the long break. Seem to be more humble and wants to improve. Decent today.

Walcott 5- Under performed perhaps to less game time.

Carlos 9- Equalled Four wins feat since 1895. Not easy accomplishment if you are managing the Blues.

COYB, UTT. Derby's next.

Honestly think Davies had a good game tbh

Thought Brighton were easily the best team we've played this season, very well coached outfit and they would be wise to give Potter more time. Technically and physically they are excellent but so many little things keep on letting them down - finishing, sloppy passes in dangerous positions, them stupid short set pieces they kept on doing, just general naivety in their play. But make no mistake we did very well to beat them so convincingly, some of our play today especially coming out from the back against their press was absolutely superb and that's with 2 starting midfielders out injured.

The derby is the big examination now and will be an enormous test of our mentality both during and after the game - if we lose, can we pick ourselves up again and get back to winning ways? In the past we've gone into the derby in good form, lost and were never the same team afterwards. If we win, can we maintain that level throughout the whole season and cement a place in the top 4? Time will tell...

....so chuffed for all our younger fans who’ve seen nothing like this before. Early days, enjoy.
My 27 year old son is beside himself with joy. Oh Mum, we're top of the league, I can't remember anything like this. I think if we win our next game he will literally explode with excitement. His Mum is trying to remain calm, yeah seen it all before, we were great in the past but is equally as happy and loving it!

I think Potter did short corners because of our height and he got it wrong imo, he should've peppered Pickford but he'll learn, play decent stuff BHA
